It was Tamar’s birthday on Monday and very last minute she managed to entice not just us, but 10 people, out for an evening of bowling and Chinese food. A great time and a late night. I was pretty cranky yesterday.
Bowling is one of those great sports that is so easy to do and so easy to suck at! Kind of like golf – maybe that’s why I like it so much and it’s so much fun in groups. We need to do that more often!
In other news, it’s the first anniversary of Lisa’s 30th birthday this Saturday and we’re going to be having another one of our wine-tasting (i.e. wine-drinking) parties to celebrate. We’re also going for dinner and a show (The Complete Works of Shakespeare) on Friday night. Finally, as in every year, Canada Day is the day after her birthday, so once recovered from the party, a bunch of us Canucks are heading up to Primrose Hill for an afternoon of picnic, frisbee, etc., followed by the pub. Or, if it rains as expected, just pub. Still fun.
Then, next Thursday it’s off to New York for Pete and Tamar’s wedding!
Ah, summer.
